Children have special requirements and different energy levels and attention spans, so we do not group them with regular adult students, instead they can take a customized children's lesson. The jibe combines sail skills and board skills, in just the right combination. In this class we can save you a lot of time wasted doing trial and error. Why reinvent the wheel, when we can teach you the key points and timesaving tips in just a few hours. The jibe isn't too tough if you have someone experienced to show you how. There is a process, and some fun exercises, that make perfect sense. We explain the theory of the jibe in easy to understand language. Windsurfing Jumping Lesson 1.5hrs Action Sports Maui has a reputation as the that most progressive windsurfing teaching center in the state. Our school offers that highest levels of training available to the general public. In the advanced classes courses and clinics, our instructors are sailing with you and are on hand to give you constant advice and feedback. Our flight school can cover anything from the basic chop hop to advanced maneuvers like inverted aerials. You can do Intro to surf-sailing, up to full on down-the-line waveriding. You decide what techniques you want to learn. The training starts on the beach with the theory and orientation, then onto the water for the practical exercises. Sailing with the instructor at your side is a lot safer too. We can show you safe jumping techniques and surf survival tips. We show you how to get some big air and some serious hang time. Windsurfing in breaking surf is where it gets really exciting, but don't wipe out in the impact zone until you get the right training! Wavesailing should only be attempted by strong swimmers because of the likelihood of being separated from the board. Windsurfing Looping Lesson 1.5hrs We are the only school on Maui that offers loop lessons and a full range of inverted aerials. These techniques are definitely advanced techniques for competent windsurfers who are in good physical condition. Our loop class concentrates on loops only! (there are three main types of loops, (Loops, Spins, and Rolls). The teaching methods have taken years to develop and this class can only be taught by our very top level instructors, David Dorn (Master Windsurfing Instructor), and our team of senior instructors. We break down the loop into its essential elements and discuss them on the beach before going out on the water. On the water we take you through a series of confidence building and technique teaching exercises. These skills are combined into the loop techniques.  This exclusive coaching is very successful in helping pre-loopers to complete their loops and for sailors who have never attempted a loop. Coaching gives them the safest looping techniques to use and practice. You should be prepared for some hard landings and big wipeouts. If you don't know what your doing before you try a loop, you may scare yourself and give up trying forever. With this coaching, you don't have to re-invent the loop. The knowledge you gain will give you more confidence to master the loop. *Bring you own gear. For safety reasons, we always wear helmets and wetsuits or impact jackets.
