The Menehune is our most affordable scenic Kauai Air Tour. The Menehune is a 30-minute air tour departing from the Lihue Airport which follows one of two routes: the North Shore or the South Shore.
NORTHERN ROUTE
On the Northern route enjoy spectacular views of Kauai's eastern coastline, past miles of sandy beaches, Sleeping Giant mountain range, the Anahola mountain ranges, Kilauea Lighthouse, Kalihiwai Bay, Lumahai Beach, Princeville, Hanalei Valley with its many waterfalls and then back to the Airport via Mount Waialeale (known as the wettest spot on earth), Kilohana Crater and Wailua Falls.
SOUTHERN ROUTE
On the Southern route enjoy views of the Menehune Fishponds, Hoary Mountain Range, the Eucalyptus Tunnel of Trees, Waita Reservoir (Kauai's largest reservoir) Hanapepe Town, Waimea Town, Waimea Valley (the Grand Canyon of the Pacific), views of Ni'ihau off in the distance and back to Lihue Airport via the wettest point on earth Mount Waialeale and Kilohana crater.
