Our Summit Tour Special is the perfect way to be introduced to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The short duration of this tour allows you ample time to explore other beautiful areas of the Big Island of Hawaii. Your exciting day begins at the Summit of Kilauea, which is currently erupting. You will bike around the rim of this erupting crater on off road trails and paved roads. Here you will get a chance to "Feel the Heat" of the volcano as you stand next to the Steam Vents.
Periodically throughout the tour your interpretive guide will share geological, mythological, and botanical information with you. After leaving the summit crater you will head through the lush ancient Hawaiian rain forest. Here you will see the incredible Kilauea Iki Crater and take a short hike through the rain forest to the famous Thurston Lava Tube as you are serenaded by native Hawaiian birds. Our course continues to wind its way through the rainforest and ends at the top of the Chain of Craters Road.

See dynamic panoramic views of the ocean and lava landscapes as we travel the last four miles to the ocean by van. Enjoy the sea breeze as we serve you a delectable lunch ocean side and if Madame Pele (the Volcano Goddess) allows, you will see the active lava going into the Pacific Ocean.
Relax as we travel back to the Summit by van where we will top off this majestic adventure with an optional fifteen minute exotic wine tasting session at the Volcano Winery. We will explore the eastern rift zone as we travel through lush tropical jungles along a coastal country road on your way to Kilauea Volcano's Active Lava Flow. Along the way we will see tropical fruit farms, witness spectacular ocean views, and see where lava flows have cut their way through the rain forest.
Once we reach the lava devastated Hawaiian village of Kalapana, you will see the 1991 Lava Flow which created the new Kaimu Black Sand Beach. Here we will have a hot dinner before biking at sunset to witness the amazing fiery red glow of Madame Pele's magnificent creation (Volcano Dependent). Cancellation Policy: Changes, Cancellations, & Inclement Weather

Due to the popularity of our volcano biking tours we require a no less than 48-hour notice for schedule changes and cancellations in order to avoid a 50% to 100% charge. Cancellations need to be received before 48 hours of tour to receive a 100% refund and to avoid a 50% penalty charge (for cancellations within 48 hours of tour) and 100% penalty charge (for cancellations within 24 hours of tour).
Day of Tour
Weather conditions in Volcano can be unpredictable. Occasionally, Mother Nature decides she'd like Volcano to herself for the day; in which case we'll notify you to reschedule your tour or offer an alternative bike course on the day of the tour.
If we cancel your tour before pick-up or entry into the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, you will receive a full refund.
If we cancel the bicycling portion of your tour after entry into Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, you will receive a van tour our market price and refunded the remainder. Bikevolcano.com does not issue refunds for those who opt out of the bicycling portion of a tour of their own volition.
