Manta Snorkel

On board the MV Makai you can settle in the cushy comfort of the upper deck as we cruise to the evenings Manta site. Along the way you can enjoy the scenic Kona coast as our crew pampers you with snacks and beverages. Upon arrival, you move to the lower "wet" deck and prepare for the experience of a lifetime. Manta Rays often swim within inches of our guests as they hold on to our specially designed "Circle of Light" viewing frame. This frame offers you guests the opportunity for a better view and allows for a safer encounter with the Mantas, since human contact such as accidental kicking or touching of the Mantas is greatly reduced.

After the Manta experience, you return to the Makai?s warm dry upper deck to sit back and reminisce while enjoying complimentary snacks, hot coffee, sodas or Mai Tai?s. Additional beer, wine and mixed drinks are available for purchase after the snorkel.

Both decks on the MV Makai are fully covered. There are two restrooms located on the lower deck. This 2hr and 30min tour leaves from the Kailua Pier in the heart of Kailua Town. Estimated time on tour with round-trip transportation: 3.5-5.5 hours.
