Horseback Riding - Junction Ride We depart at 9:00 a.m. from the House of the Sun Visitor Center. This is an 8-mile horseback ride from the summit of Haleakala to Ka Mao O Pele Junction and return. Lunch will be served at the floor of the crater. Our experienced guides will narrate some facinating hisory of Haleakala, Its geology and explanation of rare plants and animals found only on Maui. Horseback Riding - Cabin Ride This is a 12-mile horseback ride from the summit of Haleakala to the Kapalaoa Cabin and return. Our experienced guides will narrate some facinating hisory of Haleakala, its geology and explanation of rare plants and animals found only on Maui. Lunvch will be served at the cabin.
