ACTIVITIES:
Kayaking
4 1/2 hour guided kayak tour departing from the Nawiliwili Small Boat Harbor up the Hule?ia River. This one way paddle disembarks at the heart of the National Wildlife Refuge. After a 15 minute nature hike guests are taken to two secluded waterfalls, the first through a bamboo forest, the second a 60 ft. cascading waterfall for swimming.
NEW! Guests can choose one of two ways to get to the base of Papakolea Falls.
Adventure Trail - includes a climb a quarter way up the side of a 60ft waterfall. Guests scale their way to the back of the waterfall where they overlook the swimming pool below while sitting behind a curtain of falling water.
Survivor Trail - For the even more adventurous, guests can choose the Survivor Trail which includes a rappel down the face of the second waterfall - No other tour in Hawaii offers this unique way to get up close and personal with a waterfall.
**Guests must request rappelling upon booking**
The tour ends with a picnic lunch overlooking the Hule?ia Watershed and Haupu Mountain Range.
