Local Molokai Restaurant to St. Joseph Church to and Kumimi

St. Joseph Church is the only church built by Father Damien in the state of Hawaii that is still in its original condition. As you look at the church, you will be seeing all of the other churches Father Damien built, as they were similar in size and features. The original confession booth, Flemish ceilings and life size statue of him are on site. After St Joseph's church you drive to Kumimi, better known by locals as Maurice Point. This particular spot was used as a land mark to identify local family homes along the way to Halawa Valley. From this point one can see Napili coast of Maui and Lana'i.

***********************************

Kumimi to Kaunakakai Town (if time allows)

Kaunakakai, the main city on Molokai is only two blocks long. Quaint and quiet, you?ll notice that there are no traffic signals. In ancient times it was called Kaunakahakai famous for its rich water crystals. As time passed by Kaunakahakai was eventually called Kaunakakai, town by the sea. Take a walk through town and see what the local vendors have to offer or relax and eat ice cream under a coconut tree
