Damien Tour with scenic flight from Lanai to Kalaupapa

The flight tim to Kalaupapa is approx 28 minutes. The return flight up will take you back to Molokai airport and then onto Lanai. You can also add in the extras of the scenic North Shore tour.

In the 1850's when Hansen's disease, formerly known as Leprosy, swept through the Hawaiian Isles the worst cases were sent to this isolated peninsula. In 1873 Father Damien arrived and was revered for his infinite love for the residents of Kalaupapa.

Kalaupapa Settlement

Drive through the settlement and time permitting, the group will stop off at St Frances Church and Mother Marainne's grave site. The group will then board the Damien Tour bus and join with the rest of the group doing the Damien Tour

Kalaupapa Settlement to Kalawao

Damien Tours takes one to the old settlement that Father Damien founded. Here one will get to visit St Philomena's church which Father Damien built and visit his grave site.

Kalawao back to the Settlement

After lunch head back to the airport where the plane will be waiting. We can do up to 3 scenic flights and we are currently using 4 passenger planes where comfort prevails with perfect scenic viewing.
