|
Standard Price: $52.36 - with Goldcard $44.50
Escape the hustle bustle of Waikiki and journey to the lost coast of Oahu, a place where your dreams of a tropical island paradise come true. Our first stop is Lanikai, the most beautiful beach in the world. Moku Lua Island Seabird Preserve can be seen, with Wedge-tailed Shearwaters, Brown Boobies, and Black Noddies flying above the tranquil waters. Traveling north, we follow the scenic shoreline to view Popoia Island, Nu'u Pia Pond and Coconut Island. Spectacular vistas abound along the palm tree-lined Kaneohe Bay enroute to our next stop, the famous Chinaman's Hat. Continuing our journey, we arrive at the remote Ka'a'awa Valley, a majestic and timeless place where the essence of old Hawaii still survives. We vist an ancient Polynesian village nestled beneath the 2,000 foot jagged cliffs. Walking through the valley where Jurassic Park was filmed, you experience the magnificence of this private hidden sanctuary. We also visit the 200 acre Moli'i Fishpond, where native Hawaiians have raised fish for over 600 years. Ornamental flowers, coffee trees and towering mountains provide an impressive backdrop as we take a relaxing boatride on this picturesque pond. A local guide provides the history and mythology of this sacred place and explains Hawaiian aquacultural methods as we slowly cruise along the shore of a secret island.
