ACTIVITIES:
The turtle cleaning station is a local phenomenon with turtles lined up to be cleaned by little fish in a turtle cleaning spa. You can see the turtle spa without even getting wet aboard our Glass Bottom Boat departing at 9:15, 10:00, 10:45 and 11:30am. Our trained guides will point out and tell you about the ever changing rainbow of tropical fishes that inhabit our underwater reef.
And boarding the Glass Bottom Boat is easy! The boat pulls directly up to the shoreline at Anaeho'omalu Bay, and guests board via a ramp at the bow of the boat. The Glass Bottom Boat is your shuttle boat when boarding the Alala at Anaeho'omalu Bay, and deboarding onto the Alala is simple with the three step stern staircase and custom railings.
Scuba diving off the Kohala Coast of Hawaii is a unique experience because the Hawaiian island chain is the most isolated land mass in the world. More than 30% of what you'll see underwater is endemic -- found only in Hawaii.
The Big Island of Hawaii boasts crystal clear waters with great visibility, an array of colorful coral gardens, and rugged lava formations. Most of our dives sites classify as shallow reef dives with a maximum depth of 65 feet. Even the most experienced divers can appreciate the unique beauty of our young and growing reef communities.
Our dive boat departs from Anaeho'omalu Bay, right in the heart of the Waikoloa Beach Resort. If you don't want to hassle with your own gear, we provide Scuba Pro b.c.'s and regulators, masks, fins and wetsuits. If you've brought your own gear and plan to dive more than one day with us, we're happy to store it safely on board our boat.
Sail into the Kohala Coast sunset, the most beautiful in the islands. You may see the legendary "green flash", or dolphins and whales (winter months only), as they playfully escort our vessel. Our delicious menu has been prepared by our award winning local chef. Enjoy a libation or iced champagne from the bar as you watch the sun disappear into the tropical sea.
For guests celebrating their anniversary, we invite you to participate in our "Ceremony at Sea" vow renewal. Couples can renew their vows for a $25 fee; includes fresh flower lei, a champagne toast, and a certificate commemorating the occasion.
Enjoy 3 1/2 hours of ocean indulgence! We begin with a delicious assortment of fresh island fruits and juices, as we motor to one of our remote snorkel destinations along the Kohala Coast. Once we are there our marine naturalist will provide a snorkel briefing, then get in the water with you to show you the remarkable marine life below teaming with exotic coral gardens, tropical fish, and turtles.
After snorkeling, we board the catamaran and set sail! You will experience the beauty of the island with a view like no other!
We provide all snorkel gear, instruction, and a marine life talk.
