Piiholo Ranch Zipline is located on an 800-acre working cattle ranch, just above the town of Makawao in the beautiful Upcountry Maui region. Situated at an elevation of 2,000 feet, the landscape offers bi-coastal Pacific Ocean views and a towering eucalyptus forest with indigenous plant and tree species and colorful endemic Hawaiian birds. The ranch also has a nursery and preserve for Hawaii's state bird, the endangered Nene Goose.
We operate two different zipline courses, with a variety of tours offered daily on each course. On our original dual-line zipline course, enjoy our beautiful 4-line tour, or thrill to our 5-line tour (which includes the longest side-by-side zipline in the state - 2,800 ft), soaring over gulches, streams and trees. On our new single-line treetop canopy zipline course, three different tours allow you to experience the awe-inspiring beauty of the forest canopy, zipping between tree platforms or walking over aerial bridges up to 50 feet in the air. Whichever you choose, you will be talking about your Piiholo Ranch Zipline adventure for years to come!
ACTIVITIES:
Guests check in at the Zipline Post where, after completing paperwork, you are introduced to your guides. The guides give a safety briefing and each guest is outfitted with a helmet, harness and trolley for ziplining. To get to the first zipline, all guests cross a 317' suspension bridge. Zipline one is a 480' zip, with 4 guests zipping beside each other from a free standing tower (42' high) to a grassy meadow below. Remaining lines are 2 guests zipping side by side. The second zipline is 1,065' in length and crosses over a lush tropical valley of guava, kukui nut trees and many varieties of ferns. Zipline three is 690' and crosses back over the valley to the "Tree House" for break time. The final zipline is 725', and lands you back near the check in area to complete the tour. Total tour time is approximately 2 hours.
All guests are provided Hawaiian juices, water and a light snack. We go rain or shine; rain gear is provided as needed.
