The Olowalu area is home to one of the dynamic reefs on Maui and holds abundant sea life for you to see first hand. This easy-going paddle is a great mini getaway from the resorts, crowds and busy beaches. We meet and launch about five miles south of Lahaina from a sandy beach and enjoy the typically clear and shallow waters of the Olowalu beach reserve area. This area is popular for snorkeling as it's home to a very large reef system and a lot of sea life. A typical tour paddles about 2.5 miles along the coastline with the West Maui Mountains bearing over us and the long sandy beaches alongside. Great for the whole family with year-round availability.
Since the Olowalu Beach Reserve area is home to one of the most dynamic reefs found on Maui, snorkeling here is quite amazing.
