The Seward Highway is a "National Scenic Byway", and for good reason! Like the Wildlife Tour, this tour travels along the Turnagain Arm where the best coastal scenery in Alaska resides. This is an extended wildlife tour highlighting the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center combining the aerial tram up Mt. Alyeska and lunch at a local eatery.

Our first activity is a scheduled photo stop at Beluga Point, a scenic viewing area along the Turnagain Arm. Next, your local Alaskan guide will bring you to the top of the Mt. Alyeska Aerial Tramway to enjoy the Roundhouse decks with a view of several alpine glaciers as well as the Roundhouse Museum. Your tour guide will show you around, be there as photographer and introduce you to the area known as Glacier Valley.

The next highlight is the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. This 200-acre rescue center is home to bears, a musk ox herd, a wood bison herd that was once thought to be extinct, moose, an elk family, caribou herd, and more! Lunch is included at a local eatery at the base of the Chugach Mountains serving bottomless soup of the day, sourdough bread made daily, dessert and a beverage.

Along with the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, this tour takes about 6 hours and even includes lunch! Lunch is served at one of our favorite spots along the Turnagain Arm, The Bake Shop where we will enjoy bottomless soup, sourdough bread and one of their famous desserts is included in today's lunch! Sit family style indoors or if it's a nice day, take your lunch to the garden for a picnic style atmosphere.

NOTE: The tramway does close down for scheduled maintenance in May and October. Ask us for more details and options during this time!
